Taipei MRT is a sort of short cut, this is because all Taipei walker take MRT to every where. However, there are so many issues occurred, such as the electronic failure, as result, so many people stuck in the train when they were heading to work or school even to some where?!
Although, people complain this issue all the time, and so far those people can not find the proper solution to fix it, the passenger still need MRT all the time, cos MRT is already part of our life in Taipei.
MRT is quite similar as Tube (Underground) in the UK or Subway in the US.
Next time,when you got a chance, you can also go to Taipei101, Dr, Sun ya-sen memorial hall, Taipei city hall, Jiantan...by MRT, just check how before you go. Then you can experience MRT as well.
hey i actually think taiwanese MRT is waaaayy better and ligt-years ahead of alot of subway system around the world. Its clean and efficient, and ppl all follow the rules.

When I look back your comment now, I think other that Taipei, I can’t disagree with you more, but HK and SG are doing a good job also, I can only compare to London Metro as I haven’t been NY yet….
